Hit the waves the day before Shelly's big 45. We headed to Cape Kiwanda to give those swells a go. One thing about Cape K is that there is no sand breaks before the next wave hits, so you are always on your toes. Lots of sand in our suits and a bit in our mouth at the end of the session, but it was well worth it all. Definitely recommend Cape Kiwanda for intermediate surfers. This is not a beginning surf area, so keep that in mind. (Happy Birthday, Shelly)
